The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame is a great opportunity for students of all ages to experience and explore some of Tennessee's incredible sports history and heroes. Students will have the chance to see how sports, sports equipment, and athletes have evolved thought the years. In both the school programs we offer this year we hope to inspire learning beyond the classroom. Students will be able to use the Hall as a new classroom through learner-led tours, inquiry based learning and hands on activities. To enrich their learning experience students will be provided with a journal to complete and take home after their visit.

Taking part in the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame school programs can help children see the world differently. It will offer children hands on experiences, help encourage critical thinking, and open doors in achieving dreams and goals. Hall personal are eager to share their knowledge and resources with you and your students to meet educational goals and establish community partnerships in learning. Our role in partnering in education programs for our youth can only help build a stronger community now and in the future.

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame invites the teachers and students of your school to book your Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame field trip with us today. Touring the Hall could be one of the greatest hands on learning opportunities that you and your students can experience. Students can have a behind the scenes tour of the Hall, see how things are archived and stored, handle old artifacts and then record their day in their own take home journal. Sport heroes, legends, community builders, amazing athletes and people who have left an impact on sport around the world and in our province are all under one roof, right here in your own backyard.

Sports provide a unique opportunity for self-discovery. This is especially true for children who confront both physical and mental challenges everyday. With proper guidance, they learn that hard work and perseverance bring results. They will inevitably experience defeat, but with sound coaching, they will learn that defeat is only a lesson, and that success and recognition are earned by effort.

Sports also provide an opportunity for all kinds of people from greatly differing backgrounds to interact with and enjoy each other. The lessons of sports provide valuable guidance in the quest for a happier, healthier and more productive life.

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame subscribes to the principle that sports serve society's highest ideals. By educating youth through sports, it promotes the virtues of competition, fair play, friendship, solidarity, mutual understanding and respect for human dignity.

The Hall is a state of the art, 7,200 square foot, interactive facility that is both entertaining and educational. The Hall teaches students Tennessee history using sports as the catalyst.
